Hello everyone! I am Mrs Lloyd.

I have been working within education for 20+ years, and have had the pleasure of working in Upper Rhymney Primary School for the last 16 years.

I am a teaching assistant, a licensed Thrive practitioner, a first aider and part of the team that lead expressive arts, along with Mrs Dearsley and Mrs Beddoe. I have considerable experience working with children with ALN (additional learning needs), to enable me to support these children I have had the opportunity to complete a wide range of training to use in interventions including RWI intervention, ASD, ADHD, Positive behaviour management, Speech and language, Popat, Comit, Right brain approach etc.

Since working in education, I have worked with the Super Shelby intervention team for Caerphilly County Borough Council and as a leader in the Meithrin for the Mudiad, before joining Upper Rhymney.  At Upper Rhymney I have worked in classes from Nursery right through to Year 4.

My favourite thing to teach is anything hands on and creative.   I love to teach all subjects through hands on experiences, as I believe children always learn when having fun.
