Su'mae pawb, Miss Henderson ydw i.

I am part of the teaching team in Dosbarth Sirhowy Year 5. I'm currently studying for my HLTA qualification despite carrying out the role for a while. I am a Thrive Licensed Practitioner, assessing, planning and running intervention groups throughout the whole school, completing related administrative tasks as required and providing staff support and training when needed.

I am a part of the Mathematics and Numeracy team helping to prepare for the new curriculum, and assist in class with mathematics and literacy small group interventions.

Within my role I often plan and teach the curriculum to Year 5. I offer support to those children who require it. I am experienced and qualified to work with children with additional needs, for example, Behaviour, ASD, ACES, Attachment, Right Brain Approach and Mental Health and Wellbeing.

I represent the Non-Teaching Staff on the school Governing body.

I have been a member of the Parent, Teacher and Friends Association for about 14 years, firstly taking on the role as secretary, and currently hold the Treasurer's position.
