Autumn 2022
Working hard on our maths
We made a delicious apple crumble from our fruit trees with Mrs Henderson in Outdoor Learning!

Our Eco area in Year 5 is 'Energy' ~ We carried out the eco schools audit and these are our actions.

Just one example of our energy saving tips videos we produced using Adobe Creative Cloud.

We are 'Heddlu Bach!'
Exploring adjectives ~ What would it be like to be a child working in the mines?

We explored the work of Welsh Artist Tom Maloney and created our own sketches using a range of pencils. We edited and improved our drawings to create a final piece.

We researched the 'Senghenydd Mining Disaster' and created a double page report. We think they are very creative and informative.
Tree Planting!!!!

After planting our trees we looked carefully at the trees on our yard and drew from observation.

Thank you very much to Kate for our artist workshop today! We've created unique tiles with a variety of media representing what we love about Rhymney and can't wait for them to be put on display at the Winding House in New Tredegar.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to St. David's church for our Christingle celebrations.

We researched jokes for our Christmas cracker project, here are some that made us laugh...

An example of some of our lovely calendars we designed using PicCollage.
